Oleg Oprisco, a talented photographer from Lviv, Ukraine creates images of elegant women in magical and stunning fairy tale-like settings. There’s one difference though that sets him apart from most photographers, Oprisco shoots using an old $50 film camera.

And because he shoots with film means that everything you in these photos had to be created exactly that way. “I’ve found it ideal to do everything myself. I come up with a concept, create the clothing, choose the location and direct the hair and makeup,” Oprisco explained in an interview with Bored Panda. “Before shooting, I plan the overall color scheme. According to the chosen palette, I select clothes, props, location, etc, making sure that all of it plays within a single color range.” He uses Kiev 6C and Kiev 88 cameras with medium-format film and a variety of lenses.

That’s is the product of Austrian-born photographer Josef Fischnaller‘s photo project which is inspired from the scenes of old paintings with a modern twist. One of his favorite artists is the Italian painter Caravaggio.

Josef Fischnaller studied photography at the Academy of Graphic Design in Vienna and currently has his own studio in Berlin. A closer look at his renaissance-inspired portraits will give you some pleasant surprises. The Mona Lisa we know didn’t sit in a swivel chair and didn’t have a lip ring.

Stefan Loeliger, a self taught photographer is located in Basel (Switzerland) and has his own darkroom studio. He is into black and white because because according to him “black & white that speaks most directly to me on an emotional level.”
