Keep Her Unnoticed by Maria Falconer

The Keep Her Unnoticed photography project by photographer Maria Falconer is a body of work surrounding the subject of domestic violence. This project shows the fear, violence and low self-esteem that women experience after being in an abusive relationship.

Falconer used body languages to portray emotional aspects into her images. In the above image shows a woman is slung over a banister along with the other possessions a man has left there, just like an object waiting to be used. In another image, we can see a woman falling in a train track, an action that suggests powerlessness and lack of confidence.

“Photography is not just a job, it’s my passion; The camera is not just a mirror, it’’s a creative tool; Creativity plus passion equals unique images.” – Maria Falconer

Touching Strangers by Richard Renaldi

Richald Renaldi, a New York based photographer is behind this unusual photography project called “Touching Strangers.” He asks strangers and make them pose as if they know each other. The project conveys more than just the pat, the kiss, the hug because it stirs up far more emotions.

His aim was to encourage people to break away from who they are and interact with strangers with their bodies touching in some way. It creates intimate relationship that exists only in the photograph. The images are both beautiful and strange and crosses the boarders that lies between strangers.

Mothers and Daughters by Julia Fullerton-Batten

Julia Fullerton-Batten, a professional photographer, explored deeper into the dynamic and sometimes complicated bond of maternal relationships in her photography project Mothers and Daughters. She cast real life mother and daughter pairs to help her create this amazing series.

Her photo project was inspired by her memories of her sisters and their relationship to their mother as well as her mother’s relationship to their grandmother. She wants to show the moments of birth to adolescence, to becoming a woman and the relationships that occur within that period of evolution.

She told the website mymodernmet.com that the photos show a full cycle of relationship between mothers and daughters-“the babe-in-arms is fully dependent on the mother, but at the other end of the age scale the mother often becomes dependent in her daughter to satisfy her emotional need.”
